1. Agreement Formation and Contract Documents

The complete contract consists only of: (a) the Accepted Quote and Selected Service Option; (b) these Terms, identified by version and Effective Date; (c) written Change Orders approved by both Parties; (d) project-specific specifications, drawings, product lists, allowances, or attachments expressly incorporated into the Accepted Quote; and (e) any separate statutory notice applicable law requires Coastal to provide.

A Service Request, website inquiry, phone call, social-media message, site visit, preliminary recommendation, or unaccepted Quote does not create a scheduled appointment, obligate Coastal to perform, guarantee availability, or authorize Work.
The Frequently Asked Questions and Policies are informational customer references. They do not independently create contractual duties, expand the Selected Service Option, or modify these Terms unless the Accepted Quote expressly incorporates a specific provision.
Order of precedence, unless a signed Contract Document states otherwise: approved Change Order → Accepted Quote/project scope → incorporated project-specific specifications → these Terms → separately required statutory notices to the extent applicable law controls. The Frequently Asked Questions, Policies, and other general website information are not Contract Documents unless the Accepted Quote expressly incorporates a specifically identified provision.

2. Parties and Company Identity

Coastal shall state its exact legal name, assumed business name, address, phone, email, and required registration/license information on the quote or signature page; marketing names do not replace the contracting entity’s legal identity. Customer information must include the legal name of the person or entity responsible for payment, service address, billing address, email, phone, and Customer’s relationship to the property.

3. Customer Authority and Property Authorization

Customer represents that Customer owns the property or has sufficient legal authority to authorize the work. A tenant, property manager, agent, family member, or other non-owner must obtain all owner, landlord, management, lender, condominium, or HOA approvals required. Coastal may require written proof of authority before scheduling or starting; Customer is responsible for claims, costs, delays, or removal work from lack of authority, except to the extent caused by Coastal’s own wrongful conduct.

Tenant projects involving mounting, drilling, painting, patching, hardware changes, or other alterations may require written landlord approval.
Commercial projects may require approval from the business owner, property owner, manager, or facilities representative.
Customer must identify restrictions affecting hours, access, parking, loading, noise, elevators, or disposal.

4. Definitions

\"Service Request\" — the structured website or client submission used to begin project review. \"Estimate Process\" — Coastal’s internal review and price-development workflow; it is not a customer contract or appointment. \"Assessment\" — a remote or on-site information-gathering step used when uncertainty prevents reliable Quote preparation; it is not a Quote or appointment. \"Qualified Project\" — a Service Request Coastal accepts for formal quoting after reviewing scope, authority, safety, access, location, products and materials, Assessment needs, capacity, insurance, and legal fit. \"Quote\" — the formal pricing and scope document presented for Customer acceptance. \"Accepted Quote\" — the Quote and Selected Service Option accepted by Customer. \"Selected Service Option\" — the Essential, Enhanced, or Premium Service Option selected by Customer. \"Change Order\" — a written modification identifying added, deleted, or revised Work, price, materials, payment, and schedule effect. \"Customer-Supplied Product\" — any product, part, fixture, hardware, material, instruction, or accessory not purchased by Coastal. \"Project Site\" — the property and work area identified in the Accepted Quote. \"Substantial Completion\" — the stage when authorized Work is sufficiently complete for its intended use, excluding minor punch-list items that do not materially prevent use. \"Work\" — only the labor, materials, and services expressly included in the Accepted Quote and approved Change Orders.

\"Essential,\" \"Enhanced,\" and \"Premium\" are Service Option labels, not independent warranties or quality grades — each is defined solely by the scope written in the Quote. Coastal performs accepted Work to the same workmanship and safety standard regardless of Service Option.

5. Scope of Work and Selected Service Option

Every Qualified Project receives Essential, Enhanced, and Premium Service Options. Customer selects only one quoted Service Option unless the Accepted Quote states otherwise; Work described in an unselected Service Option is excluded. The Accepted Quote must identify tasks, locations, quantities, preparation, materials, Customer-Supplied Products, exclusions, and pricing assumptions. Coastal has no obligation to perform Work not expressly included — general statements, photos, expectations, prior conversations, and website or social-media descriptions do not expand the written scope.

Essential: the specifically requested core work and inclusions in the selected quote.
Enhanced: core work plus additional preparation, upgrades, related tasks, or protections shown in the quote.
Premium: the broadest option — only the additional work, materials, preparation, or support expressly stated in that quote.

6. Phase 1 Service Boundaries and Licensed-Trade Exclusions

Coastal’s Phase 1 Work is limited to approved property-improvement, installation, assembly, organization, minor-finish, maintenance-support, and related services within its current competency, tools, transportation, staffing, insurance, licensing, and legal authority. Representative availability may include assembly and mounting; shelving and storage; window treatments; interior hardware; minor wall and finish repair; doors and trim; smart-home devices; limited like-for-like electrical or plumbing fixture replacement using suitable existing connections; ground-level outdoor small jobs; and move-in, turnover, office, or maintenance punch lists. Coastal may decline any Work it believes exceeds these limits.

Unless Coastal later holds every required license, permit, certification, equipment, insurance, and competency and the Work is expressly included in a Contract Document, Coastal does not undertake structural construction; new circuits, panels, in-wall wiring, hardwired specialty systems, or other regulated electrical Work; new plumbing lines, leak diagnosis, gas Work, water-system repair, or other regulated plumbing Work; HVAC; refrigeration; fire-sprinkler or alarm systems; roofing; siding; remediation; emergency restoration; engineering; architectural services; or other specialty-trade Work outside its authority.

Coastal will not divide, recharacterize, or separately invoice an undertaking to avoid a licensing or permit requirement. North Carolina’s general-contractor definition currently applies to covered undertakings costing $40,000 or more, subject to statutory details, aggregation rules, and exceptions. North Carolina counsel must confirm the current threshold and its application before deployment.

7. Estimates, Quotes, Measurements, and Reliance on Customer Information

Quotes may rely on Customer descriptions, photos, measurements, product links, virtual review, visible site conditions, or a limited assessment. Customer must provide complete, accurate information and promptly correct known errors. Unless stated as a fixed price for a defined scope, preliminary ranges, \"starting at\" prices, allowances, and budgetary estimates are not guarantees; a quote may be revised before acceptance if scope, site conditions, product requirements, quantities, taxes, travel, or other material facts differ from information reviewed.

After acceptance, price changes require a written Change Order except for agreed mathematical/clerical corrections, legally imposed tax adjustments, or changes otherwise expressly authorized by these Terms and applicable law.

Unless the Accepted Quote states otherwise, a Quote is valid for 14 days. An expired Quote must be reviewed before reactivation because pricing, materials, taxes, travel, availability, or conditions may have changed.

8. Pricing, Taxes, Fees, and Payment Authorization

Customer shall pay the contract price stated in the Accepted Quote and approved Change Orders, the current applicable sales and use tax based on the Project Site/service address and transaction treatment, and other charges disclosed before authorization. Coastal will verify tax treatment and rate through an approved authoritative source or approved accounting settings before the Quote and invoice; 0% treatment requires valid retained documentation. A payment-processing charge is a fee, not a tax, and applies only if permitted by law, the processor, and card-network rules and disclosed before payment.

Apply the current trip minimum by one-way distance: $75 for 0–5 miles; $150 for over 5–10 miles; $225 for over 10–15 miles; $300 for over 15–20 miles; $375 for over 20–25 miles; and a $375 minimum for over 25 miles, with final pricing quoted by project when scope, travel, access, or scheduling requires it. The trip minimum is a price floor, not an automatic surcharge when the contract price already exceeds the applicable minimum.

Unless the Accepted Quote states a different schedule, payment is due as follows: a deposit is due as a scheduling prerequisite, generally 25% to 30% of the contract price depending on project scope; approved progress payments are due when stated; and residential balances are due upon receipt at Completion or Substantial Completion. Approved landlord or commercial accounts may receive Net 7 or Net 15 terms only after review and only when written in the Accepted Quote. The specific 4for a project is set out in the Accepted Quote using Coastal’s standard deposit schedule — 25% for all regular service work; 100% of nonreturnable materials plus a 25% labor deposit for custom-order work; 40% for multi-day projects; and approved written terms for landlord-turnover and commercial accounts. Customer authorizes Coastal and its payment provider to process the selected payment method for amounts then due; recurring or later charges require any authorization law and processor rules require.

Customer shall review invoices promptly and notify Coastal in writing of a specific, good-faith dispute; the undisputed portion remains due.

9. Deposits, Material Purchases, and Refund Treatment

Deposits are applied to the contract price and are not automatically \"nonrefundable.\" The Accepted Quote must identify the deposit’s purpose and when any portion becomes earned or committed.

Payment of a required deposit satisfies a scheduling prerequisite and may authorize approved project preparation or material purchasing, but it does not by itself create an appointment. An appointment exists only after Coastal confirms it through the client hub or another authorized written communication.

After any applicable cancellation period expires, Coastal may use deposits to reserve labor, purchase approved materials, pay nonrecoverable vendor charges, or cover documented administrative and mobilization costs as allowed by law and the approved cancellation policy. Special-order, custom, opened, cut, tinted, altered, or nonreturnable materials may be charged to Customer when properly disclosed.

If Coastal cancels without Customer default and cannot perform, Coastal will refund unearned amounts after deducting only sums legally allowed and agreed. Statutory cancellation rights control over this section.

10. Scheduling, Arrival Windows, and Project Duration

No appointment is scheduled until Coastal confirms it through the client hub or other authorized written communication. Dates and arrival windows are good-faith scheduling targets unless expressly guaranteed in writing. Duration may be affected by access, site conditions, Customer decisions, material availability, weather, traffic, prior jobs, inspections, illness, safety concerns, or events outside Coastal’s reasonable control; Coastal will communicate material scheduling changes when practicable.

Customer shall not hire another provider to perform overlapping work in the active work area without coordinating with Coastal. Coastal may adjust task sequence when reasonably necessary for safety, efficiency, drying, curing, product instructions, or access.

11. Customer Access and Site Readiness

Customer shall provide lawful, safe, timely access to the Project Site, including keys, codes, parking, loading access, working utilities, restroom access when appropriate, and a clear path to the work area, and disclose access restrictions before scheduling.

Customer shall remove or protect cash, jewelry, confidential records, firearms, medications, collectibles, fragile items, electronics, and other valuables from the work area — Coastal is not a custodian of Customer property. If the Project Site is not ready, Coastal may delay work and propose a documented return-trip, standby, or additional-labor charge before incurring it.

12. Customer-Supplied Products and Materials

Customer is responsible for selecting, purchasing, transporting (unless otherwise agreed), and confirming suitability of Customer-Supplied Products. Coastal may inspect but is not responsible for latent defects, missing parts, incorrect dimensions, incompatibility, recalls, manufacturer errors, inadequate load ratings, or misleading instructions that are not reasonably apparent.

Additional time caused by missing, defective, damaged, incompatible, incomplete, or inaccessible Customer-Supplied Products is outside the original scope and requires approval of any added charge. Coastal may decline installation if the product, substrate, instructions, or proposed use appears unsafe or unsuitable. Coastal’s workmanship warranty applies to its installation labor, not the manufacture, design, performance, or merchantability of a Customer-Supplied Product.

13. Coastal-Supplied Materials, Substitutions, and Allowances

Coastal will provide only the materials expressly stated in the Accepted Quote. Product images, colors, grain, texture, sheen, dimensions, and finish may vary by manufacturer, production lot, lighting, existing surfaces, and screen display.

When an item becomes unavailable or delayed, Coastal may propose a reasonably comparable substitution; no material substitution that materially changes price, appearance, function, or warranty will be made without Customer approval. An allowance is a budget placeholder, not a final selection or fixed cost — the contract price will be adjusted by written Change Order for approved selections above or below the allowance, including associated tax, delivery, handling, labor, and disposal effects.

14. Permits, Approvals, HOA Rules, and Code Requirements

The Accepted Quote must state who is responsible for permits, inspections, owner approvals, landlord approval, HOA/condominium approval, property-management coordination, and related fees. Unless expressly assigned to Coastal, Customer is responsible for obtaining non-governmental approvals and providing governing rules before work begins.

Coastal will not knowingly perform work that violates applicable law or a known code requirement, and may stop or decline work when a permit, licensed trade, design professional, inspection, or other approval appears required. Code compliance may require work beyond the requested repair or installation; such additional work is excluded unless added by Change Order.

15. Concealed, Unknown, and Pre-Existing Conditions

Pricing is based on reasonably observable conditions and information available before work begins. Concealed deterioration, rot, corrosion, water intrusion, pest damage, inadequate framing, hidden utilities, nonstandard construction, prior improper work, code violations, unsuitable substrates, or other unknown conditions are excluded unless expressly included.

When an unknown condition is discovered, Coastal may stop affected work, make the area reasonably safe, document the condition, and present options; permanent corrective work or added investigation requires a Change Order or referral to a qualified provider. Coastal is responsible for damage caused by its failure to exercise the legally required standard of care, but does not guarantee detection of concealed conditions that could not reasonably be identified within the agreed scope.

16. Lead-Based Paint, Mold, Asbestos, and Hazardous Conditions

Customer shall disclose the property’s known construction date and any known or suspected lead-based paint, asbestos, mold, sewage, biological or chemical contamination, drug residue, vermin, or other hazardous condition.

Coastal may refuse, stop, isolate, or defer work and may require testing, documentation, clearance, or a properly licensed/certified specialist. Phase 1 scope does not include hazardous-material identification, testing, abatement, remediation, or certification unless later authorized and legally qualified.

LEGAL COMPLIANCE RULE: For Work that may disturb painted surfaces in pre-1978 target housing or child-occupied facilities, Coastal must follow applicable federal lead-renovation requirements or decline the Work. Customer representations do not waive certification or work-practice requirements.

17. Safety, Children, Pets, Occupants, and Stop-Work Authority

Coastal controls its work methods and may establish reasonable safety boundaries. Customer shall keep children, pets, occupants, customers, tenants, visitors, and unauthorized persons away from active work zones, tools, ladders, cords, debris, adhesives, coatings, and materials, and disclose known hazards, aggressive animals, unsecured firearms, illegal activity, threatening conduct, impaired occupants, infestation, unsafe utilities, or other conditions that could endanger persons or property.

Coastal may stop work and leave the site when it reasonably believes conditions are unsafe. Stopped work, remobilization, or rescheduling caused by Customer-controlled unsafe conditions may result in a Change Order or disclosed charge, subject to applicable law.

18. Changes in Scope and Written Change Orders

No added, deleted, substituted, upgraded, or revised work is authorized unless documented in a written Change Order approved by Customer and Coastal, identifying revised scope, price adjustment, payment due, material impact, and scheduling impact.

Electronic approval through email or text may constitute written approval when the communication clearly identifies the change and price and can be retained and reproduced. Coastal personnel are not authorized to provide free additional work or waive charges unless documented by an authorized owner or manager.

If immediate temporary action is reasonably necessary to prevent imminent personal injury or additional property damage, Coastal may take only the limited protective action authorized by law and circumstances, then seek written approval for permanent work.

19. Delays, Suspension, and Force Majeure

Neither Party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control — severe weather, natural disaster, government action, utility interruption, transportation disruption, widespread material shortage, labor unavailability, epidemic, civil disturbance, or similar events — except for payment obligations already due.

Coastal may suspend work for nonpayment, unsafe conditions, lack of access, missing approvals, concealed conditions, Customer interference, or legal restrictions after reasonable notice when practicable; schedule and price impacts will be documented. Customer may request a pause, but Coastal is not required to hold an indefinite schedule position or store materials without an approved written arrangement.

20. Property Protection, Dust, Noise, and Ordinary Construction Effects

Coastal will use reasonable care and the protection methods included in the Accepted Quote. Customer understands that improvement and installation work may create ordinary noise, vibration, dust, odors, temporary access restrictions, minor wall disturbance, or visible differences between new and aged surfaces.

Exact matching of paint color, sheen, texture, caulk, grout, finish, grain, hardware aging, or repaired surfaces is not guaranteed unless expressly included; touch-up work may remain visible under certain lighting or viewing angles. Customer shall identify sensitive persons, equipment, alarms, sprinklers, finishes, or operations before work — enhanced containment, after-hours work, specialized protection, or deep cleaning is included only if stated in the Accepted Quote.

21. Damage Reporting and Incident Documentation

Each Party shall promptly report observed property damage, injury, unsafe condition, or incident related to the Work, preserve relevant evidence, and permit reasonable inspection before non-emergency repair or alteration. Coastal may photograph or record the condition for safety, insurance, quality-control, and dispute documentation; reporting an incident is not an admission of liability.

Customer shall take reasonable steps to prevent additional damage. Emergency measures may be taken when necessary to protect persons or property, but the acting Party should document the reason and cost.

22. Completion, Walkthrough, Punch List, and Substantial Completion

Coastal will notify Customer when the authorized Work is complete or substantially complete. Customer (or an authorized representative) should participate in a walkthrough when practical and identify specific incomplete or visibly defective items within the agreed scope.

Minor correction items that do not materially prevent intended use do not postpone Substantial Completion, final invoicing, or warranty commencement, unless applicable law or the Accepted Quote requires otherwise. Items outside scope, preference changes, additional upgrades, and damage caused by others are not punch-list work and require a Change Order.

23. Customer Inspection and Acceptance

Customer shall inspect the Work within a reasonable time after completion and notify Coastal in writing of any specific concern. Payment, use, occupancy, or signature on a completion record may evidence acceptance of visibly complete work but does not waive latent defects, valid warranty rights, or nonwaivable rights.

Customer may not withhold the entire contract balance for a minor, good-faith punch-list item when the undisputed amount can be determined, subject to legal review and applicable law.

24. Workmanship Warranty

Subject to the exclusions and procedures below, Coastal warrants that covered labor will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner for [INSERT APPROVED WARRANTY PERIOD] from Completion. The warranty belongs to the original contracting Customer and applies only to the Work and Project Site identified in the Accepted Quote, unless counsel approves transferability.

For a valid covered claim, Coastal’s primary obligation is to inspect and, at its option, correct the defective workmanship, reperform the affected work, or provide another remedy required by law. Coastal does not promise that every cosmetic variation or product failure is defective workmanship.

LIMITED-WARRANTY RULE: This is a limited workmanship warranty. Any legally required implied warranty or nonwaivable remedy remains unaffected.

25. Manufacturer and Customer-Product Warranties

Manufacturer warranties, if any, are provided by the manufacturer and governed by their terms; Coastal does not expand, administer, or guarantee a manufacturer warranty unless expressly stated. Customer is responsible for product registration unless the Accepted Quote assigns that task to Coastal. Coastal may reasonably assist with documentation, but diagnostic, removal, return, shipping, reinstallation, or replacement labor after a product failure is not included unless covered by Coastal’s workmanship warranty or a separate written agreement.

26. Warranty Claim Procedure and Opportunity to Cure

Customer shall submit a warranty claim through Coastal’s designated website, email, phone, or client hub, providing the project number, description, photographs when reasonably available, and access for inspection.

Customer shall provide Coastal a reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct covered workmanship before hiring another provider, except when immediate action is reasonably necessary to prevent injury or material additional damage. Unauthorized third-party work may impair Coastal’s ability to evaluate the claim but does not eliminate nonwaivable rights. Coastal will document the claim, inspection, decision, and corrective action in client hub.

27. Exclusions from Warranty and Maintenance Responsibilities

Unless caused by Coastal’s covered defective workmanship, the warranty excludes normal wear; misuse; abuse; neglect; accident; impact; overloading; unauthorized alteration; work by others; building movement; vibration; moisture; leaks; pests; corrosion; environmental exposure; improper maintenance; unsuitable substrate; concealed conditions; product defects; customer-supplied products; and failure to follow manufacturer instructions.

Exact cosmetic matching and performance beyond the product or substrate’s intended capability are excluded unless expressly promised. Customer is responsible for ordinary maintenance, monitoring, and timely reporting of leaks, movement, loosening, deterioration, or other conditions.

28. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and No-Access Charges

Coastal’s ordinary scheduling cancellation policy is separate from any statutory cancellation right. Customer may request cancellation or rescheduling through an approved communication channel; the amount, timing, and basis of any fee must be disclosed in the Accepted Quote or incorporated policy before acceptance.

After applicable cancellation periods expire, Customer may be responsible for documented nonreturnable materials, special-order items, completed work, authorized procurement, and reasonable rescheduling or no-access charges approved by counsel. Coastal may waive a fee in its discretion without waiving future enforcement. Nothing in this section limits a cancellation or refund right that cannot legally be waived.

29. Statutory Cancellation Rights and Separate Notices

Certain sales made at a customer’s home or another covered location may be subject to North Carolina or federal cooling-off requirements. When applicable, Coastal will provide required contract disclosures and separate completed copies of the Notice of Cancellation, inform Customer of the right to cancel, and refrain from prohibited conduct during the cancellation period.

STATUTORY-NOTICE RULE: These Terms do not replace a required statutory Notice of Cancellation. A purported waiver is ineffective unless a specific legal exception applies and every requirement is satisfied. Any buyer-requested repair, maintenance, urgency, or emergency exception must be evaluated on the actual transaction and may not be assumed or preprinted as a routine waiver.

30. Communications, Electronic Records, and Electronic Signatures

Customer consents to transact electronically for quotes, agreements, Change Orders, invoices, receipts, project records, and ordinary notices; electronic signatures and approvals are intended to have the same effect as handwritten signatures to the extent permitted by law.

Customer must be able to retain and accurately reproduce these Terms. Coastal will preserve the accepted version and relevant records in the client hub; Customer may request a paper copy and update contact information by written notice. SMS or email consent for project communications does not automatically authorize marketing messages — marketing consent, if used, must be obtained separately as required by law.

31. Project Photographs, Documentation, and Separate Marketing Consent

Customer authorizes Coastal to photograph or record the Project Site as reasonably necessary for estimating, measurements, product identification, safety, progress, quality control, proof of condition, warranty, insurance, and dispute documentation.

Coastal will not publicly use identifiable interior, exterior, personal, tenant, address, license-plate, security, or customer information for marketing without separate permission via a separate media release identifying the permitted content and uses. Customer shall not record Coastal workers in private areas or use recordings unlawfully; security-camera operation should be disclosed when practical, without prohibiting lawful security practices.

32. Privacy and Third-Party Service Providers

Coastal may collect and use customer contact information, addresses, project details, photographs, communications, payment tokens, and transaction records to evaluate requests, perform Work, communicate, invoice, maintain records, handle claims, comply with law, and improve operations.

Coastal may use service providers such as the client hub, payment processors, QuickBooks Online, email providers, cloud storage, communications platforms, website hosting, and approved analytics tools; payment-card information should be handled by the authorized processor rather than manually stored by Coastal.

33. Payment Default, Collection, and Statutory Remedies

If Customer fails to pay an undisputed amount when due, Coastal may provide written notice, suspend unperformed Work, decline additional work, and pursue lawful collection remedies. Any late charge, interest, returned-payment charge, collection cost, or attorney-fee provision applies only if expressly stated, reasonable, and legally enforceable.

Coastal reserves statutory lien and other remedies when applicable, but no lien arises merely because these Terms refer to lien rights — Coastal must satisfy all statutory prerequisites, deadlines, notices, and filing requirements. Customer remains responsible for undisputed amounts even while the Parties address a separate warranty or punch-list issue.

34. Disputes, Notice, Inspection, and Informal Resolution

A Party asserting a dispute should provide written notice describing the project, facts, requested resolution, and available supporting information. For a workmanship claim, Customer shall provide a reasonable opportunity for inspection and correction as stated in Section 26.

The Parties will first attempt good-faith informal resolution through direct communication and may agree in writing to nonbinding mediation before litigation. Nothing prevents emergency injunctive relief, a lawful insurance claim, a statutory filing deadline, or another remedy that cannot be waived. This process is not an admission or waiver by either Party.

35. Governing Law and Related Terms

These Terms are governed by North Carolina law, without applying conflict-of-law rules that would select another jurisdiction, except where federal law controls. Counsel must decide between ordinary court process, optional mediation, or binding arbitration. Any waiver of jury trial, class procedures, or court access must be conspicuous, knowingly agreed, and legally enforceable — do not deploy such a waiver without counsel’s final language and conspicuous-assent mechanism.

Related Closing Terms

Insurance: Coastal maintains legally required insurance; a certificate of insurance evidences coverage on its issue date only. Customer maintains its own appropriate property/liability insurance. Neither Party promises insurance will cover every claim.
Compliance & severability: each Party complies with applicable law; Coastal may decline work it reasonably believes would violate law, code, permit, instructions, safety, licensing, or insurance rules. An invalid provision is enforced or modified only to the minimum extent lawful without imposing a materially different obligation.
Assignment/subcontractors: Customer may not assign without Coastal’s written consent (limited exceptions for a property purchaser/insurer). Coastal may use qualified employees, temporary workers, subcontractors, vendors, or specialists and remains responsible for obligations it cannot lawfully delegate. Customer shall not directly hire or direct Coastal personnel/subcontractors for off-scope work during the project.
No waiver / entire agreement: delay or failure to enforce is not a waiver; a waiver must be written and specific. The Contract Documents are the entire agreement and supersede prior discussions; changes require a written document signed by both Parties. No employee may make an oral warranty, scope expansion, price waiver, or legal commitment contrary to the Contract Documents unless an authorized owner confirms it in writing.
Notices: ordinary project notices may go through email or text; formal notices (default, cancellation, dispute, warranty claim, legal rights) must use the method required by these Terms or law.
Survival: payment obligations, confidentiality/privacy duties, warranty procedures, dispute provisions, valid limitations, and recordkeeping survive completion or termination to the extent legally enforceable.

Acceptance, Acknowledgment & Version Control

By accepting the Accepted Quote and the version of these Terms identified in that Quote, Customer acknowledges an opportunity to review and retain the complete Contract Documents before acceptance; that unselected Service Options and verbal requests are excluded; that Customer provided accurate project, property, authority, access, and hazard information; and that Customer reviewed the applicable deposit, payment, tax, fee, cancellation, warranty, and Change Order procedures.

When applicable, Customer also acknowledges receipt of a separately required Notice of Cancellation. Electronic acceptance is intended to constitute legally binding assent to the extent permitted by law. The version identified in the Accepted Quote governs that project; a later website revision does not modify an existing project unless both Parties approve the change in writing.
